Reunion News Update – August 23, 2003

Countdown:  21 days until Reunion Night! 

 Reminder:  The deadline for sending in your reservation is Friday, September 5, 2003 by 5:00 p.m.

 Our reunion is right around the corner (three weeks to be exact) and everyone is getting excited!  The word is out and reservations are finally coming in!  Don’t be left out of the fun!  We’re looking forward to seeing everyone there!  We still need to hear from you if you have anything to contribute to the Memorabilia Table.   Contact the committee if you are bringing anything for this display.  We want to make sure we set aside some space for you.  (Contact Us)

 This is just a kick-off for our reunion weekend!  For those getting into town early enough on Friday afternoon and those who live nearby -- come on down to the Yard House at Shoreline Village in Long Beach.  The casual icebreaker begins at 5:30 p.m., so load the camera and join us for our first night of memories!  Click here for directions and a map to the Yard House.

The main event, our 30 Year Reunion at the Golden Sails!  Participate in the “awards” portion of the evening’s program by completing the Awards Questionnaire form.  Fill out this form and submit it online as soon as possible.  The deadline to submit this form will be Friday, September 5, 2003.  It’s sure to generate a lot of laughs when the winners are announced and the awards presented!  We’ve worked hard to solicit and collect some great door prizes for the evening and for the awards!  Click here for the Awards Questionnaire.

 It’s called “Sun day” for a reason -- a time to kick back and enjoy the sunshine!  Join us one last time from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., to wrap up the weekend with a Family Fun Picnic at El Dorado Park West.  This is the same park we had our Senior Picnic 30 years ago!  It’s the perfect opportunity for everyone to bring the kids, meet each other’s families and enjoy the day.  You will need to bring your own food and beverages (remember: no alcohol allowed in the park). You'll need to bring chairs or a blanket to sit on and your own food and drinks.  Once you get into the general vicinity of the park, look for the directional signs that will lead you to where we’re meeting.  A yellow cordoned off section of the park for “LB Poly, Class of 1973” will let you know you’re at the right place.  Click here for a map of El Dorado Park West.  Click here for a List of Local Take-Out Restaurants if you need to “fast food” it for the picnic.
